“ Black Sky has some great food! We've only really had the pizza, but it's great! I had the Burning Blood Pizza - a "Jalapeno popper" pie, bacon, jalapeno, cheddar, mozzarella & cream cheese. My husband had The Black Sky - Pepperoni, jalapeno, mozzarella & cream cheese. Both are delicious!! He also enjoyed a citrus-infused lager - Clusterfux. ”
“ Awesome place to grab a drink and a snack to eat! The bartenders are great! Would recommend to anyone who likes metal and booze. ”
“ It's an unassuming looking place from the outside, but inside is kinda dark with hard rock vibes. The service was outstanding, the beers were good, and the pizza was great. I loved their in-house hot sauce (if they sold it, I would have bought some!). A great little stop on our Denver beer tourism trip. ”
“ It's been years since I've been here, found my felt in the area at lunchtime and popped in. The bartender Eric was a great conversationalist and very kind about recommendations. The lunch special is 2 New York size slices and a pint for $13 which is a great deal. They have a daily meat and vegetarian slice available. The pizza was better than I remembered. I liked this place first for the metal and the ambiance. It's just comfortable if this is your jam. It reminds me of my friends basement in high school if there was a bar. I am very happy I came back and look forward to making it regular. Eric really was great, he deserves some props! ”
“ Pizza. Metal. Badassery. This place has it all. Awesome staff with piping hot pizza that will make your tastebuds do cartwheels. Cj, the bartender is super friendly and has great recommendations. I had no idea what I wanted but I knew I wanted something GOOD. She recommended the Jalepeno Bacon. She said it with such conviction, I had no CHOICE but to give in to my temptations. And so... 5 minutes (not even) later. She drops this HUUUUUGE slice of pizza with equal amounts of jalapenos as it did bacon. The bacon was sizzling, the cheese was bubbling, and I immediately indulged! Their pizzas are the size of two average slices. It is a full meal! They had vendors around selling dope art, jewelry, and more. I will check more of that side out soon, but this doesn't end here. I got their Ginger Mule.. AND O M G.. it was beyond delicious. It paired so well with the pizza, I damn near wanted to slap her for making me feel so guilty from all the goodness. She told me about how she implemented this recipe at a restaurant she loved in NOLA. She brought the idea here, which is how the Mule got put on the menu. It is quite easily the best Mule I have ever had! Black Sky still has me high... on pie. ”
“ My first stop when I arrived to Denver was this brewery. All I wanted was some good beer after a six hour drive from ABQ. I got there about an hour and a half before closing but I guess they closed early that night because they already had all the stools up and were doing their cleaning. So I left. Came back a few weeks later and it was a great experience. I got a flight of some solid beers. The bartender was great. Very friendly and even warned me about the Fear the Peach Reaper before I ordered a full pint of this spicy beer. I'm glad I only got the taster because it was spicy and would've wrecked my stomach with a full pint. The taproom had a nice vibe to it. I enjoyed my visit. ”
“ Don't let the outside fool you. Located right across from Trade, this place features a very wide list of beers and really tasty things crust pizza. You order at the bar and then they bring you the pizza to your table. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. The wait for the pizza was a bit on the long side but so worth it! ”
“ Probably one of our favorite beer stops we made in Denver! The staff was awesome- shoutout to Eric, the best bartender we chilled with on short trip. Metal music, thin slice pizza, and some tasty beers- what more can you ask for. We tried a lot of the beers with small tastes- broos light was solid and pretty much loved every beer we tried. The pizza was fantastic- the crust was so thin and they hook it up with the toppings. Nice to be able to get just a slice since we didn't have a fridge to bring a big pie home to. They have an outdoors, games you can play, and the music is great. ”
“ Lovely staff & good beer! I just sat the bar to read on a Sunday, so it wasn't very busy. The music was metal, but it wasn't super loud so not disrupting at all. The pretzel was fine - nothing special, just classic yummy bread & salt! ”
“ We've passed this brewery a million times, but only have been in twice. We really need to go more often. First off, you can't beat the service and friendly staff. You can tell they all enjoy coming to work. That makes a huge difference! The beers are really good. They have an excellent variety on tap for any kind of beer lover. I've actually had the food twice, and the kitchen does a fantastic job. If you have time, go for a pizza. If not, you can't go wrong with a sandwich and soup. Now, this is just a personal opinion and of course I know I was at Black Sky Brewery. But again for me, the music was a bit loud. I'm more of a classical music guy than heavy metal, although I can appreciate all kinds of music. I guess I've turned into my dad. Will I be back? Absolutely! Would I recommend Black Sky Brewery? In a heartbeat! Go check it out for yourself. ”
